About The Honda Elysion 2004 - 2011

Elysion 2004 - 2011

The Honda Elysion is a MPV with seven or eight seater that was originally sold only in Japan as a challenger to the Toyota Alphard and the Nissan Elgrand. It is linked to the USA Honda Odyssey but is not the equivalent vehicle. One of the major variances from the preceding generation Honda Odyssey was that the rear doors were exchanged to sliding doors typically used on MPV, whereas the Honda Odyssey used conventional doors. The USA Honda Odyssey known in Japan as the Honda LaGreat, was too large for Japan, so the Honda Elysion acquired many designing indications from the LaGreat and used them on a smaller vehicle.

The 1st generation Honda Elysion was manufactured in 2004. A facelift was introduced in 2005, introducing an Aero and VG Premium trim editions. In 2006 saw the introduction of the G Aero HDD Navi and VG HDD Navi Aero editions. Another facelift change was introduced in 2006, including an interior facelift. Honda Elysion was offered with either the 2.4 or 3.0. The higher spec trim Prestige model was available with the 3.5 used in the Honda Legend and offered with AWD. For the 2WD drive vehicles, this was more power than that available in the Toyota Estima.
